Software introduction

It looks like Telltale's caught up with itself after a bit of a shaky start earlier on in the year, and we've actually got Batman – The Telltale Series, episode 3, out on iOS at the same time as console/PC.

Batman – The Telltale Series follows Bruce Wayne as he faces a series of personal and professional problems; the sort that affects the Batman as well. Now we're into episode three, we've come across some iconic characters and have had to make some seriously difficult decisions, but we're about to see its outcomes in the most glorious way.

What I'm finding most enjoyable about this series is that Telltale is putting its own spin on it. I won't give much away but there's some definite grey areas that I wish had previously been poked at in the films, and I'm rather enjoying its dark nature. The constant switch between Bruce Wayne's psyche and Batman's is originally quite different, but as things progress what's to stop them from merging together entirely?

Grab Batman – The Telltale Series on the App Store now, and good news Android users, you can now enjoy the game on a compatible device on Google Play.

    Knew vows were ever brokers to defiling;

Earlier today I came across an article on Kotaku where I read that Fortnite is becoming increasingly popular with women as well as men. While this initially made me happy to hear, upon reading further down the article I grew more and more disappointed that this wasn't the progressive news I'd been hoping for. It's a bit of a mixed bag.

People out there who've been gaming for a while will know that while this industry and community is a fantastic one to be a part of, there's also a darker side to it that really is a bitter pill to swallow at times.

A lot of tweets about girls playing Fortnite were just harmless jokes about the surge causing the WiFi at their school to crawl and how now it's the boyfriends trying to get their girlfriends' attention, but there were also some more typical ones further down the article:

"Just because you got Fortnite mobile or played PUBG once you're not a gamer girl"

"The bums i see standing still on Fortnite mobile must be the girls tryna play huh? ??"

"Girls started playing Fortnite mobile and for some reason now i feel like i should never play that game again"

And more which I found on Twitter today:

"why are girls trynna play fornite now like no... stop ?????????"

"girls that play fornite are annoying"

"What’s up with girls playing fornite now?"

"Fornite is not a game for Girls ."

It feels like the recycled conversation about 'fake' gamer girls and this weird denial about girls and video games can just never be put to bed.

While I've gotten more thick-skinned about this sort of ridiculous ownership, I hate that I've stopped being surprised by it. Though I've been addicted to Fortnite on PC, I went off playing competitive online games a little while ago just because I was sick of the abuse I got trying to join in the fun.

I know by nature these sorts of games get people more riled up, but when I was still using a less gender-neutral tag I got more hate, more female-specific insults, and was included way less than others on my team.

One of my favourite incidences was at a gaming expo a few years back. I'd queued up for about an hour and a half to play The Division where I was then separated from my friend and put in a team with two random guys. Play sessions were only about 10-15 minutes long, but I played five minutes before someone shot me in the head and my two teammates just ran past me, leaving me to die. When I asked them for a res (they were sitting next to me) they ignored me.

But, I guess this type of argument was bound to come out eventually. Just like whenever a video hits YouTube's trending page, the comments are usually meaner and the people are usually more ridiculous.

I'm glad to see Fortnite Mobile doing well, and pleased to see the majority players including and accepting each other in such a fast-paced, competitive game. The reason we play is to have fun, after all, so let's have it.

Kurechii's "tower defence game without towers" Tiny Guardians will be out on iOS next week. April 16th, to be precise, and at the price of £2.99 / $3.99.

Last we heard of Tiny Guardians was when Kurechii was looking for beta testers back in July 2014. So it's been a while.

Here's a refresher, then: Your task is to defend Lunalie as she travels through Prism (the world) to find her lost aunt, the Sorceress.

She'll be confronted by beasts, circus folk, and molten abominations along the way. So, to keep her safe, you'll need to summon guardians.

You'll need to pick out a party from the varied guardians that you collect. Some of them use magic, others fire arrows, while others will charge with shields and swords.

Pokémon Sun & Moon have been slowly revealing their newest additions to the formula and Nintendo showed the starter Pokémon in a trailer last month.

This time, in an all new trailer, you'll discover the new Alola Region and the new friends that you'll make along the way:
'O father, what a hell of witchcraft liesOf amber, crystal, and of beaded jet,

    Whose sights till then were levelled on my face;

Super Mario Party, just announced at E3 as coming out in October, will feature an online minigame mode, according to a tweet from Nintendo UK.

A series first: in Super #MarioParty, test your skills against other players in a new online minigame mode! Coming to #NintendoSwitch on 05/10. pic.twitter.com/dTaPDN0CcG— Nintendo UK (@NintendoUK) June 14, 2018 We already know that Super Mario Party will bring more to the original board game experience, with new modes, deeper strategy, and new ways to play with the Joy-Cons. But this will be the first time an online presence has been added to the game.

Some players are nervous about the minigame mode aspect, as it seems to hint that you won't really get to play the full game against online players, but just the multiple minigames that exist across the board.

It's hard to know for sure based off of one tweet, so hopefully more information will come out. Either way, it's at least a step towards an online presence for the game, even if it isn't the full experience.
Who glazed with crystal gate the glowing roses
